Available to schools
H&R Relational Approach Co-ordinator to Primary and Secondary Schools
My role as H&R Locality Board’s Relational Approach Co-ordinator is to support schools in adopting and embedding whole school relational approaches.
My goal is to help schools embed good practices, enhance understanding of SEMH (Social, Emtional and Mental Health) needs and work together to reduce suspensions, exclusions and persistent absences.
I can offer bespoke support to schools and have also developed a Relational Approach Network meeting, enabling schools to support one another in choosing and developing their whole school relational approach.
If you’ve already participated in the training funded by the Locality Board, please reach out, especially if you have specific issues, you would like assistance with such as training for staff, addressing rising SEND or SEMH needs.
So, whether you are already trained and are embedding your relational approach or you are new to the concept of relational approaches, please contact me, alison.keane@dalesmat.org.
Sam Johnson, Selby Locality Board Inclusion Lead
My role as Selby Locality Board Inclusion Lead is varied, with overall aims of supporting smoother transitions, helping to reduce exclusions and improving attendance. My work complements the other services provided by North Yorkshire Council. I started work in Sept 2024 and will be in post until July 2026.
